Here is my life in terms of career, education, athletics, and memberships:
Career
In addition to the 17 books with my name on the cover, I have also ghostwritten books and done a lot of editing. In addition, I serve as a literary agent for non-fiction projects in several categories; if you are interested in that part of my life, please visit The Rudy Agency website. Recently, I also founded an ebook publishing company called GamePlan Press.
As a consultant, I've had long-standing relationship with CalConnect, a group for whom I provide public relations services. My work with CalConnect has its roots in years of experience with technology companies and organization, most of it focused on marketing communications and public relations. As part of that technology background, I was a consultant to the American National Standards Institute, The Open Group, National Information Standards Organization, AT&T, WatchGuard Technologies, and Information Technology Industry Council, among other companies and trade groups. I was also an employee with a little company called Apple.
And before plunging into the technology world, my career reflected my academic roots: arts and humanities. I had executive roles with both a children's museum and professional theater in Washington, DC.
Education
I earned a BA and MA in Speech and Drama from The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC. And since 1998, I have maintained a certification in personal training from the American Council on Exercise.
Athletics
As a competitor, I have done very well in these sports at various times of my life: gymnastics, bodybuilding, power lifting, and adventure racing. And these have been just for fun: ocean whitewater kayaking, scuba diving, skydiving, and golf.
